In this piece, I wanted to capture the quiet beauty of aging and the connection that endures even as time reshapes us. By working in white charcoal on black paper, I reversed the usual approach to light and shadow, letting highlights emerge like memories from darkness. The deeply lined faces, pressed gently together, reflect both the weight of experience and the tenderness that persists despite it.
